I joined NESC as a Graduate Human Factors Engineer in 2024, having graduated from the University of Plymouth with a BSc(Hons) in Psychology. The transition from education to employment was well fitting and welcoming. The support NESC provides to graduates makes the adjustment smooth, preparing me with the skills for projects as well as obtaining chartership.

Currently, I am working on client projects specialising in Human Factors within the Nuclear and Defence Industry. As a Human Factors Engineer, I quantify the probably of human error. Through this, engineered assets and administrative activities can be made safer and more effective by ensuring integration of Human Factors into design and operation. Working for a consultancy provides a variety of projects, for clients such as Babcock. This diversity is highly beneficial to expanding within the industry, allowing for my own vast professional development.
