  • What is your role at NESC?
    As the Nuclear Engineering Director, Scott is primarily focused on delivery of NESC’s engineering client projects, being accountable for time, cost and quality by providing leadership and guidance to the engineering department, whilst managing engineering department growth and development. A keen interest in mentoring and promoting leadership development with the aim of progressing the team’s confidence and ability, ensuring they fulfil their potential.
  • What is your career history?
    A former submariner with several decades experience on Royal Navy Fast Attack Fleet submarines in a wide variety of leadership and technical roles within the engineering branch, culminating in several years’ experience as a trainer within the Fleet Operational Sea Training organisation (FOST). Post the Royal Navy career, Scott then joined Devonport Dockyard as the Reactor Production Manager (Fleet time) which further broadened his knowledge and experience, giving him a more in-depth knowledge of the nuclear plant and support systems.
