Tom Light

Tom joined NESC in August 2025 as a Mechanical Engineer, where he has completed inhouse safety and Submarine SQEP training to further his technical knowledge and capability. Tom is supporting a Nuclear Design Authority, ensuring design intent is maintained through life and is compliant with Nuclear Licensed Conditions.

Tom began his career through a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, gaining broad hands-on experience across a variety of projects both within Devonport Dockyard and elsewhere in the industry. This practical foundation has given him a strong understanding of engineering systems and their operation. Tom has a keen interest in how things work and enjoys staying active outside of work.
