The October walking group took on the highest point in Cornwall, Bronn Wennili (more commonly known as Brown Willy).

Residing on Bodmin Moor, Bronn Wennili stands at 420 metres. The group thought themselves lucky by the lack of rain, they did however find themselves battered by harsh winds. The circular route starting through Roughtor Moors allowed for a mystical journey of ancient Bronze Age landscapes, taking in the neolithic sites such as King Arthur’s Hall.

Prior to crossing De Lank River below Garrow Tor, the team took a lunch break in a small woodland which provided some much-needed respite from the wind. This provided plenty of recovery time to help motivate our ascent of Bronn Wennli. Reaching the top bestowed a far-reaching view of our route and the baron autumnal landscape.
After a brief stop at the top we pushed through the last few kilometres just before the inevitable opening of the heavens.
The route took us 15.7km and was met with a rewarding pint for our accomplishment.
