Scott MacPhail

In his role as Engineering Manager for NESC, Scott is responsible for the resource planning, training and supervision of the engineering department. This includes management of numerous engineering projects ensuring delivery to time, quality and cost for our customers.

A former submariner with 33 years’ experience on Royal Navy fleet submarines in a wide variety of leadership and technical roles within the engineering branch, culminating in several years’ experience as a trainer within the Fleet Operational Sea Training organisation (FOST). Post the Royal Navy career, Scott then joined Devonport Dockyard as the Reactor Production Manager (Fleet time) which further broadened his experience and gave an in-depth knowledge of the nuclear plant and support systems.
