Working For NESC

NESC is a Plymouth based, specialist nuclear and safety engineering company, with established links throughout the nuclear and safety engineering sectors.

NESC’s strong client link to other consultancy services enables NESC to branch out into the key areas of the nuclear industry, giving NESC employees the opportunity to experience working in multiple nuclear environments – could this be you?

As a specialist and rapidly growing company NESC requires employees that excel at being highly organised, show excellent leadership capabilities and have the attitude to want to always deliver to the highest standard. NESC recognises that former members of the Armed Forces naturally display these skills amongst many others and are therefore highly desired.

Demonstrable knowledge of NSRP operation and maintenance is also highly desirable.

Why Us?

NESC strongly supports the transition from an Armed Forces background to a civilian working environment, resulting in large number of employees having services experience.

NESC works alongside large international corporations including those heavily involved in Armed Forces operations. As a NESC employee you would have great opportunity to demonstrate your ability to excel whilst working within highly-regulated engineering environments. Whilst excelling within your field, you would be encouraged to optimise the NESC culture of development and progression through the company. A professional development journey enhanced by experienced senior professionals providing mentoring at every-step.

Having contracts throughout the UK could mean that there is a requirement to travel whilst you’re working at NESC. However, travelling isn’t the same as being in the Armed Forces. Travel should not extend into the weekend and all expenses are covered. Travelling for work related purposes is flexible and allows you a great work-life balance. As well as flexible travelling, there is the advantage of working in a professional team and still having the ability to make your own decisions.
