An update from Alfie on the 2021 Weymouth Beach Race:

“I had another good weekend last weekend at the 2021 Weymouth Beach Race. This was my first time competing at this event as I have been too young in the past.

“It’s 2 x 20 minutes races but on the beach so very soft sand and with over 100 riders but in the same format as a motocross race. The start is done with  dead engine start, so all engines off and then a drop of the flag, having never done that I was a bit new to it all but I managed to have 2 x ok starts and pick my way to the front in both races.

“In Race 1, I had some good battles before making it to the finish line in 1st place. In race 2, I had some good battles and then on the last few laps unfortunately I had a crash that left me stuck under the bike for a while, but I managed to get myself up and going again. A hard push to the finish gave me 2nd place but that was good enough for 1st overall.

“I’m really happy to have another 1st place overall and get another beach race under my belt.”

Another fantastic win – well done Alfie!
