Raising Money for Dartmoor Search and Rescue
The Dartmoor Search & Rescue Teams (DS&RT) consist of volunteers who regularly provide assistance to those who get lost or injured on Dartmoor National Park and the surrounding areas. They are supported by public donations and organised charity events.
Dan Shadbolt, a Senior Nuclear Engineer at NESC, regularly hikes within areas that are covered by the DS&RT and has been fortunate enough not to require their services, however others are often not so lucky. When Dan became aware of this year’s event, he immediately signed up to the 11 miles / 11 Tors challenge to return the support and good work carried out by the tireless DS&RT.
