NESC visited CALLUM Design in Warwick for the unveiling of the new Bobsleigh for Team GB

On 20 September, NESC visited CALLUM Design in Warwick for the unveiling of the British Bobsleigh that Team GB will be racing at the 2020 BMW IBSF World Cup.

Lamin Deen OLY, Team GB Bobsleigh Pilot, added:

“The design is really different to anything we’ve had before, a real statement of intent. If you feel good, you race good. We can’t wait to get this sled on the ice.”

This was a great opportunity for NESC to meet Team GB and the Designers involved in this unique project.

NESC is proud to support Team GB in their World Cup and Olympic journey – we look forward to following their future successes.

Leading the team is Lamin Deen who is already a double Olympian having previously competed at both the Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games.

Lamin and his 2017 World Cup 4-man bobsleigh team have recently made historic headlines by having their 2017 World Cup silver medal upgraded to gold.  Lamin has achieved a great deal during his bobsleigh career and is on his way to a third Olympic Winter Games but to now officially be able to call himself a World Cup gold medallist is something very special.
